Chris Höck
Chris Hock has worked in all three streams of development finance: government, NGO and investment banking. After five years at the Development Bank of SA he founded one of SA’s leading developmental micro-lenders (housing and micro-enterprise). At Rand Merchant Bank he helped set up an affordable housing finance unit. Höck joined Pan-African in 2004 as head of financial structuring. He developed an innovative housing finance product for a DFI, and worked on structuring private equity investments, advising on public transport finance and rail investment strategy as well as managing provincial infrastructure funds. Since 2015 he’s advised Virunga National Park (DRC) on capital raising, investment and business strategy, especially rural electrification and an innovative micro-finance programme.
